In the Civil Rights Café our teen authors learn strategies associated with those used in the nonviolent crusades of the Civil Rights Movement. The café serves youth ages 13–18, in a nurturing environment. Not actually a café we use multimedia tools to create proactive age appropriate lesson plans to include mentorship
“Siblings Together USA began work in 2014 and is the only DC area organization focused exclusively on helping siblings maintain lifelong connections with biological, foster and adopted brothers and sisters. Our volunteer base is growing at a steady pace. With this growth, we have been able to accomplish more, and have a larger impact on a national our community. We welcome new volunteers with open arms. Let us know if you'd like to join our cherished community of volunteers and the Siblings Together USA family.”
Here we connect our youth to pride for self and history by an introduction to Mother Africa. Meet a real African Queen.
The Civil Rights Cafe is designed to give youth an opportunity to learn about the practice of nonviolence....
